During a recent trip to a rural area of Central America, I wanted a computer that I could carry with me and use, without such a big production of what would be my laptop. Change something that left me e-mail if I was lucky enough to find a connection, you can save me, could have and display photographs and short video I took during this and previous visits, and I could use in able to do homework, the little word here and there. I love my Thinkpad ( 'm in the third hour, but broke the event of an unexpected drop in the granite floor), but they need their own pockets and were quite bulky juuuust not want to take with him the fair nature of the trip We then crammed into a rented vehicle, and always in motion.

I bought this laptop from court reporting school, because the software was not compatible with my Mac I was going to update the drivers for my shorthand machine and then I realized that there is no CD-ROM. I think it's my fault, not to control and make an impulse buy, but just putting that out there because they do not see it before you buy. Great laptop, but for the money. When I left the window, I was so surprised by the weight. Of course, said the thickness of the line, but it is a shock how small it is, once you have taken. Keys can be a bit 'bigger, but it all depends on what you used to.

The net book works great and satisfied my requirement to get on the internet on the go and a fairly large amount of memory for a net book. The Windows 7 starter operating system is a little limiting especially when setting up networks to transfer large amounts of data between the netbook and my desk top but acceptable work arounds are available. I will probably upgrade the operating system but hate spending the extra money. The battery life is excellent. The screen is excellent. The video is excellent. The volume of the speakers are really bad and can just barley be heard in a very quiet environment. In a slightly noisy environment, such as outside or in a car there is no chance of hearing the audio. Head phones or external speakers are required. This might be a problem with my specific netbook since it is so bad. Amazon purchase was great, delivery good condition and fast.

I had the Samsung N120 for almost a week. I was watching the beginning of the netbooks, because they are a marvel of engineering in parallel with the new market that has created years ago with Toshiba laptops. When the N10 came out I took the advice, but I felt that I expect more than 280 processors are presented.

Basically the worst things about this product is the speakers which is underneath the computer itself. Without headphones it at best can give you an impression of what going on but nothing more than barely getting by. I don’t mind using headphones but have found a few applications I’d rather not like when multiple people are needing to listen.

I'm really happy with this netbook. Long battery life is amazing! Useful for admission from class to class much. 160GB hard drive, is also a good function. There are some laptops that have the same space dimensions. The keyboard is easy to write and use. The buttons are a bit 'stiffer and shapes, so you do not do much typing.

- If there is something that would change is that the netbook has a slightly larger screen. There is a large frame around the screen, which could be used for additional screen space. Even if larger screen than the battery life.

I'm not a big fan of laptops, to say nothing of Netbook, but Toshiba is the weak point. It 'a long battery life, full-size keyboard makes it a pleasure to use. Love it, Toshiba.

ASUS Eee PC 1000HA 10.1-Inch Pearl White Netbook - 7 Hour Battery Life Review

Although this netbook seems to be the oddball of the Eee PC line (seems it was more or less a quick pitstop between the darlings of the series - the 901 and the 1000HE/1005HA), it has performed more than admirably for my uses. I adopted this netbook after my wife “acquired” (read: borrowed and never gave back) my Eee PC 901 running Ubuntu Netbook Remix 9.04. If you are a fan of F/LOSS, I think you will be quite pleased with this netbook. For the price, enough time has passed that the most recent kernels will fully support the hardware on this netbook in the majority of cases. I have run Crunchbang, Ubuntu Netbook Remix 9.04 and 9.10, as well as the recent Fedora 12 Xfce Spin on this netbook with little to no hand configuration required. And although Pearl White might be considered a less “masculine” color, it is also a less fingerprint prone color as well so you don’t end up feeling the need to wipe it down with your microfiber cloth every five minutes. Bottom line is that it is the same sturdy, reliable hardware and build that you have come to know and love with the Eee PC series coupled with the maturity and reliability to run most modern Linux distributions with confidence, if you choose to do so. Very happy with mine and have not even considered shopping around for a new netbook despite new advances and my usual propensity to hop on the latest and greatest technology. Highly recommended if you are a GNU/Linux fan.
