After some research, I chose this because of the netbook keyboard large, relatively long battery life, and the screen relatively large. It 'pretty easy, and with 1 GB of RAM pre-installed, the speed is good for web browsing. Cited by other online, touchpad is a bit 'difficult to use, the buttons are stiff, and the trackpad is on the callous. The main reason why I gave only 2 stars is my disappointment in the quality of netbooks and customer service. A few days later with the keyboard has stopped working. I also received this Christmas present! Lucky me! I am very satisfied. It starts quickly and is so conviently size! I like being able to enter and exit. I had the blue sapphire with 6-cell battery, 1.6 GHz, 1 GB RAM, 160 GB hard drive. This cutie little wind, my old laptop away!
My Pix larger the size of the keyboard, I adapt to the smaller size and in the meantime, press the wrong button a lot. When I attended to my computer, I hit the keys on the keyboard greatest evil. Front to back, I'm going! Not the end of the world, but frustrating. I suppose that keeps the health pumpkin! Another bugbear is the lack of a CD / DVD. Very uncomfortable. My husband made me a stranger, and that solved my problem like a charm! The exterior is a breeze to connect and it works very well. My last Peeve is the anti-virus is only a month. Or was it 3? Anyway, that sucks. It would have been nice to have at least 6 months.
In general, I am absolutely happy with my lap top & breakfast would totally get a new one! Others say it's worth it, but some people do not think they want something so little. I am small, I am girly, I like girly cute little things that work well and are easy to use. I love my Acer Aspire One!

I have owned the NC10 for about a month and am very satisfied. This is a piece of hardware, and everything works as expected. Excellent keyboard, stationary and a screen with a very nice anti-glare coating. The touchpad may be a bit 'bigger, but I prefer a small external mouse anyway. I used to surf the Web with Firefox and worked on my house design with Google SketchUp. For 8 + hours on a single charge, and the 6-cell battery does not hold back like the other netbooks. It is compatible with SDHC (not SD only), which is great if you have a flash SDHC camcorder recording. It only takes about 30 seconds to boot, and I can not see the need to upgrade to 1 GB of memory while you are using Windows XP. It comes in / out sleep for about 5 seconds, and the programs I've used so far will continue to function correctly after the release of hibernation. I have seen netbooks with a large 12.1-inch screen, but the 10.2 "is more than enough, and makes it very portable NC10. Also, I found netbook from Toshiba, which also has a nice keyboard, but has a shiny / reflective screen and Bluetooth functionality adds to the price. Overall I am very impressed and that does not happen often.

I bought this netbook to take the road with me. My Dell laptop would run out of power in just two hours and I could not open it on an airplane seat in front of me was completely relaxed. Purchased the Gateway LT2118u (with Windows 7 starter) and was skeptical about buying the Amazon recommended 2GB RAM upgrade because multiple people referenced having trouble with the system recognizing the extra memory. The Amazon rep didn’t know…he recommended I contact Gateway…that was difficult…no phone number listed. After researching on-line, I saw where several people stated that they just upgraded the BIOs from ACER and the computer recognized the upgrade. I decided to purchase Amazon’s recommended RAM (2GB 256Mx64P SODIMM 5300) from Cruial…if it failed, I would return it. I installed the memory using Gateway’s website procedures and it worked perfect…booted the computer and it recognized the memory. Computer works recognizably faster! By the way, I didn’t change the computers BIOs…it is still ACER ver 1.15.
